Printed spare parts

Several parts of the G1 are themselves 3D printed. If one breaks, reprint it rather than wait for a shipment.

Two formats

STL is the one you want. Drop it straight into Ginger Slicer and print.

STEP is the CAD model. Take it if you need to modify the part or measure it properly — it carries real geometry rather than a triangle mesh.

Before you reprint

  • Check what actually failed. A part that breaks a second time is usually reporting a load or an alignment problem, not a weak print. The Z power-chain support in particular breaks when the gantry is rested on the ground without care — see Transporting the G1
  • Do not remove factory-calibrated metal parts. The probe arm E21 mounts to a metal arm calibrated at the factory. Replace the printed arm only — see Bed leveling system
  • Print orientation matters on the thin brackets: a part loaded across its layer lines will break there again
