Running the G1 in 110V regions (US)
A frequent question from customers in 110V regions (US and similar): “Can we step up to 220 in any way? We can get something that will step up the power.”
The short answer
Section titled “The short answer”The G1 runs on 220–240 V. It cannot be run from 110 V.
Not with a converter, not with a transformer, not with anything in between. The machine needs a 220–240 V supply, and the answer in a 110 V region is a circuit that provides one — not a device that claims to make one.
In North America that is a split-phase 240 V circuit: the same kind an electric oven, a dryer or a dishwasher uses (NEMA 6-20 / 6-30 or similar). Most workshops already have one, or can have one added.

Practical steps for a US install
Section titled “Practical steps for a US install”- Find an existing 240V circuit (kitchen / laundry / garage) or have an electrician install one (double-pole 20A or 30A breaker).
- Use the matching 240V plug for the configuration shipped.
- Remember the power box has two mains inputs (main + bed) that can go to two separate lines — useful for splitting the bed-heater load. See Power outlets (power box).
